. Hello everyone! 30F just joined the community here with my recent diagnosis of CIN3 , pending LEEP procedure in a few weeks. I was 6 months late for my pap (3. It is not cancer itself but the change towards cancer is seen. CIN 3 is also called carcinoma-in-situ. The LEEP is curative for 90%ish of people and if you’ve been dealing with this for 7 years it seems unlikely it would clear in 6 months. 5% (7/475) of the women with LSIL developed CIN3, all within the first two years of follow. I was never given the results just told to follow up in 6 months, which I did and had been clear since. All topics are updated as new. The usual treatment options are laser vaporization, local excision, or intracavitary radiation (brachytherapy). Participants were women enrolled in the Women’s Interagency HIV Study between 1994 and 2013. . . . • Among patients with persistent CIN 1 at 6 months and followed to 12 months ,. However you do need further screening tests or colposcopies to check the cells have improved which is presumably what your recent check up has been for. I knew if I didn’t that this could become cancerous and I may not be around in 12 months for my kids. You will probably still have CIN II in 6 months and opt to do the LEEP anyway. . . .
